Been added to the monumental lineup for this Saturday’s Apparat gig at Railway Hotel! I’ll be on in the Restaurant from 11.30pm offering up some progressive beats. Doors open at midday and we’ll be going well into the early morn. Read on for full deets.
For over 15 years Apparat (Sascha Ring) has been one of the more influential musical minds to burst on to the electronic music scene. Exploring every facet of human emotion through his melancholic melodies, driving beats and expert use of vocals, he inspires the popular culture and most discerning industry head alike..
An established and heralded artist in his own right, he has a unique ability to collaborate with acts to create art that is so much more than merely the sum of its parts; his work with both Ellen Allien on their seminal release “Orchestra of Bubbles” (2006, BPitch Control) and his two albums with indie heavyweights Modeselektor under the guise of Moderat, “Moderat” (2009, BPitch Control) and “II”, (2013, Monkeytown Records) show a depth and skill rarely seen..
Recently he’s been touring the world showcasing his live show, however Apparat is a highly skilled and accomplished DJ first and foremost. Look no further than his technically crafted RA.326 mix in 2012 or his hauntingly beautiful DJ Kicks CD in 2010.
