Rush pres. Ørjan Nilsen (NOR) – 30th July @ Miss Libertine

The Rush krew have invited me down to help support on their latest event. Well excited at the opportunity to play to a Trance dominated crowd – let’s hope I can convert some ears to some lush Prog! Being held at Miss Libertine, I’ll be playing in the side room, which is coincidentally the front room, and more to my favour, is right next to their utterly fantastic bar. Full details, along with ticketing information is posted below. I urge any that are into the Trance sound to make it down! And if if you’re not into Trance, I still think you should come, cause the front room will have beer and Prog – two of my favourite things.

For the very first time to Australian soil, Rush is proud to present to you… a legend of the trance music scene.

A man whose melodies and unique sound are constantly aired across the planet on the biggest radio shows and at the biggest parties on earth.

Before you soil yourself too badly, it is time… to welcome to Australia… the man… the mystery… Mr. La Guitarra himself – Ørjan Nilsen

Yep! After years of brilliant remixes and mind-melting original productions, played globally by everybody who’s anybody in the world of trance music, Rush is bringing this Norwegian wonder to Australia just in time for his debut artist album, which is guaranteed to rock your socks and jocks right off!

This is your chance to see what the fuss is all about

You would think that Ørjan Nilsen would not need any further introduction. I mean, after all, this ever-talented trance machine has been around longer than many other guys in the industry. Continuous hard work and a flair for production has given us lucky clubbers & dance music lovers tracks like La Guitarra, So Long Radio, Go Fast!, Lovers Lane and many more.

And now in 2011, a debut artist album is complete and the hype around Ørjan is at an all-time high. The industries biggest & most influential heavyweights like Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, & Markus Schulz are all hammering tracks like Go Fast!, Mjuzik & more, with the forthcoming Between The Rays featuring on the prominent A State Of Trance 2011 CD compilation.

In fact, Ørjan has been a frequent flyer in the A State Of Trance CD compilation series being featured almost every year since 2006, and one of the biggest highlights of the recent years would be charting on the Dutch Top 40 at lucky #7 – as well as hitting #1 on the Dutch dance chart!

Should we mention that his tunes have also featured in countless tantalising track lists of Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show over the years?

Maybe we should mention that A State of Trance – Episode 510 was a dedicated “In My Opinion” album episode, showcasing 3 massive releases from the main man’s album?

What about how Ørjan Nilsen – La Guitarra was arguably Armin van Buuren’s most played track in 2007, featuring in countless episodes of A State Of Trance?

No? Alright. We won’t.

As a DJ, Ørjan is known for playing a variation of the more chunky and groovy trance music, with big influences from tech-house and techno – with a great vibe and a flow that is sure to bring life to any dance floor. Evidence of Ørjan’s impact has already been witnessed at monster events like Poland’s Global Gathering, Liberation Day in Moscow, Amsterdam Dance Event, Revolution & the recent and massive A State Of Trance 500 main event in Den Bosch.

And now, Ørjan bursts into the Australian dance music scene, armed with an arsenal of chunky, energetic beats, ready to blow your mind
